Taking 911 calls is an intense experience. You never know what is going to drop into your headset. It can be as simple as a missing car, as haunting as a baby who has stopped breathing, or as funny as a child trying to get permission to skip school.

While actual 911 calls seek the most pertinent information, they often leave you wanting to know more about who the caller is, what happened, and why. Snap Stories are short, fictional stories of 1,200 words or less that are inspired by some of the more confusing, powerful, or ludicrous calls that come in.
